One Example of Filth. Herein, a revisit to a story that illustrates the worst elements in human culture. ROGER JAMES FORNEY: A full time security guard at The Arizona State Hospital, who would still be there if not for his 2102 arrest, this in spite of being convicted of sexual abuse/exploitation of children in 2010.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Detectives investigating the Valley man who was arrested for allegedly being in possession of child pornography were forced to wear breathing equipment and protective gear as they searched his Glendale apartment.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Roger James Forney’s residence was covered with cat feces, urine, cockroaches and trash.
Forney was arrested on Tuesday after a woman at his apartment complex found images of naked children, flash drives, a laptop computer, and a printer in a dumpster.
Investigators were able to track the images back to Forney. They also found several thousand more images on the laptop’s hard drive.
After being arrested, Forney reportedly told authorities that he had wanted to destroy the photos and other property when an FBI warning locked his computer.
He also told investigators that he is sexually attracted to young boys, but hadn’t touched any children.
Forney added that his arrest was actually a good thing, because now he can get help for his “evil.”
Forney was booked into jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
In a press release sent on Friday, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio praised the woman who found Forney’s property and called the authorities.
“I commend the person who saw these images and turned them in to us. This citizen did the right thing, people involved in child pornography are ill and should be removed from society either through incarceration at a jail facility or state hospital,” said Arpaio.

It is interesting, to say the least, that some people are unable to acknowledge factual data that has been shared via media, personal testimony from both ASH staff as well as patients (such as I), and other like hard data that in the "real world" would attract immediate attention and oversight. But when it comes to The Arizona State Hospital, such evidence is for the most part ignored, denied, and utterly condoned by persons at the highest level of authority in the Arizona's public health care contract; therein protecting persons such as Forney (and all the rest,  as it were), no matter how atrocious the substance of such data is, in fact. As this story illustrates beyond doubt, one does not have to dig too deep if seeking verifiable information about the worst elements of staff at The Arizona State Hospital. This freak of a child abusing pervert (Forney) was hired and then authorized to act as an ASH security guard in 2011-12, interacting as such with highly vulnerable and at risk adults on a daily basis, in graphic defiance of the fact that he was convicted of sexual child abuse in October, 2010. Without a doubt, this individual has the character of a monster, and I contend that this issue directly applies to the fact that ASH attracts some of society's most dangerous "professionals", in the context of heinous criminals who seek out  places where people such as them can engage in grossly egregious misconduct  with little to no fear of oversight.

I have said it before and will continue to speak as such: Some ASH staff are great, and they know who they are. I would be happy to name- and in fact praise- each and every such person (I can think of and count at least 10-12 such people even as I write, and I was in just one area of the Hospital, in fact), if only I could do so without posing a risk to their job security at ASH. Suffice it say, the medical doctors who I interacted with at ASH (non-psychiatric) were more than competent in all senses; while the various psychiatric doctors who I was passed on to- one after the other, five in a row in just over 13 full months- all exhibited the most troubling misconduct that I have ever witnessed in terms of such medical professionals. Likewise, via my time at ASH, I attest to there being  more than a few well intentioned and reasonably competent nurses at ASH, but they are at the bottom of the food chain in terms of seniority; which goes to say that in my experience, the management level nursing staff have ignored the substandard medical-mental practices at ASH as a matter of standard practice. And the same dynamics basically extend to the behavioral technician staff at ASH, as per what I witnessed and experienced first hand between Jan, 2011, and Feb., 2012. It is that bad.

As this horrific story proves, the problems at ASH have everything to do with those senior staff who are willing to preserve status quo, wherein a man like Forney can find a job, in fact- in spite of a criminal record that most any employer would be disgusted by. And that is putting it mildly. These such senior staff are the majority, particularly in terms of established seniority, and they all exercise radically disproportionate power that directly serves to preserve this status quo, no matter what the impacts on ASH patients.  In my learned opinion, persons of reasonable conscience either get fired for reporting wrongdoing or administrative ineptitude at ASH, or they voluntarily take their skills elsewhere, on the simple basis of not being able to stomach for such issues. Only persons willing and able to condone ("stomach") the unlawful misconduct of senior ASH clinicians and administrators are offered the window to climb that particularly disgusting ladder. In this context, there is little difference between a state health care facility such as ASH and any state's department of motor vehicles.

Make waves, and you are out of there. That fast, bottom line.

  1. So you condemn this guy, yet defend those @ acptc that've done the same or worse? What is your point? You seem to just do whatever will get you the most attention. What would your court records look like? Your hipocracy is palpable.

  2. This guy defends sex predators & then condemns them. Maybe he is a pervert too. I bet we could look up his court records if he gave us his real name. People don't go to the state hospital unless they are court ordered. Nice try "paulo", there are no court records for you...under your pseudonym. U are either a liar or a fake...or both. Why don't you come forward??

  3. You sure seem like a narcisist. You talk about law school, but not about graduating. If you were a lawyer, you could do something about your situation. Does taking a law class make you a lawyer? Plenty of fools have flunked out of law school, what makes you special...denial?

  4. Thank you for your commentary. The issue of patients on ACTP was raised by a claimed ASH staff person, many months ago on the "crazycorycorner" website. I agreed with one thing- senior clinical staff do engage in PUNITIVE treatment, including when it comes to someone like myself, diagnosed with legitimate mental illness (by actual doctors, by the way- get the hint?) and a very limited crim. history, one misdemeanor DUI in 1999. I have no opinions at all as to any patients at ASH who I don't know, and as I spent my full 13 (not 2 years- pay attention already) on the civil side at ASH, I cannot speak to the character of anybody in ACTP section. I am finding ya'lls outright attacks to be invalid, for all you have done is presuppose, presume, or otherwise vent emotional attitudes that have yet to be based on data of any kind. What I would love, because it would be good news, is to hear or see hard data that might suggest things at ASH today do not meet the undeniable evidential materials currently being shared by local PHX media (inc. but far from limited to the pedophiles history of Roger Forney) , and beyond. In closing, I left UA law on good terms, 2 out of 3 years 2001-2003 (9 semesters=75 credited hours of the JD program), including completing all clinical reqs. I have a BA (UNM 1996 Magna Cum Laude), and an MA, too (UA 2000). I have never claimed to be a lawyer. Keep yakking away, but please do see if you dredge up anything outside of pure and simple vehemence. The "voice" that you have arguably identified, as per the pseudonym PJ Reed, is a literary device, as much as anything, but does relate to my deepest concerns about those ASH staff who have engaged in flaunting the applicable health care standards that anyone of reasonable education/conscience is aware of today. Likewise, my actual name/identity is no secret to ASH staff, for I began this project while I was there, and promised them that once I had the opportunity, that I would report each and every detail of my experiences to the fullest of my ability. Choosing to use a pseudonym came from the advice my editor.

  5. I apologize for the above typo, dated Nov. 05, as follows: I was hospitalized at The Arizona State Hospital for ("spent my full 13….) 13 MONTHS ("not two years…."), between early Jan. 2011, and late Feb. 2012. I spent 8 full months in residential treatment in Tucson before being referred and committed to ASH by the court. These details are included in any number of published articles to date, and are essentially my medical record as it stands. Again, all apologies for any confusion.

I would really love input of any kind from anybody with any interest whatsoever in the issues that I am sharing in this blog. I mean it, anybody, for I will be the first one to admit that I may be inaccurately depicting certain aspects of the conditions
at ASH, and anonymous comments are fine. In any case, I am more than willing to value anybody's feelings about my writing, and I assure you that I will not intentionally exploit or otherwise abuse your right to express yourself as you deem fit. This topic is far, far too important for anything less. Thank you, whoever you are. Peace and Frogs.
